Dimensions of Aztec barcode in Word after mail merge from Excel

Hi, I followed the Excel-to-Word mail merge tutorial to generate Aztec barcodes in a Word document. Everything is working but I need to make the dimensions of the resulting Aztec barcode in Word smaller to fit into a label. I tried setting the NarrowBarCM property of the MFontEncoder object in the Excel document to a smaller value but that seems to have no effect even after reloading the mail merge values in Word. Changing the size of the IDAutomation2D font in the Word document also appears to have no effect. Is there a way to shrink the Aztec barcode in the Word document or is it pretty much a case of it is what it is?

Operating System: Windows XP

Application: MS Excel 2010, MS Word 2010

I do not believe it is the font. However, it does not hurt to reinstall. I think the issue might be coming from Word.

Ben you appear to be correct -- it's Word. It's working in Word 2003 but the barcode gets corrupt in Word 2010 on my machine when changing the font size. Looking into the Word 2010 installation for the solution.

As a test, I performed a mail merge using the data 1234567890 and set the font to various sizes.

Thanks for the reply! I followed the Excel tutorial, so there's a column in an Excel spreadsheet containing the values to encode, a second column in the spreadsheet using the "=EncAztec" formula on the cell in the first column, and then the Word document uses the spreadsheet as the data source for the mail merge. The barcode field uses the Windows IDAutomation2D barcode font. In Excel, I tried modifying the EncAztec VBA code to change the NarrowBarCM attribute of the Aztec object that the code uses, hoping it might change the encoded string (though I don't think it actually does). In Word, I tried changing the size of the IDAutomation2D font that's applied to the barcode field. Neither attempt had any discernible effect on the barcode size.

What font encoder are you using to encode the data? There should not be a NarrowBarCM option unless you are using an ActiveX Control to generate a graphic. If you are using a font encoder, the NarrorBarCM/XDimension is controlled by the font size.
