UPC EAN Bar Codes not Working in Excel from Number cells

Hi,
I tried to do simple automation in Excel 16.32 Mac (for later ID 2020 use) with an EAN13 and CODE128a (using IDAutomation_OfficeVBA). The CODE128a works as expected.
But when I type =EAN13(FIELDNUMBER) I get an error. The same field works with other codes like CODE128a or UPC - only EAN is not working (see screenshot). Am I missing something?

Thanks in advance,
Christoph

Try a formula that converts the cells to text and then guarantees 13 digits. For example:
=EAN13(TEXT(A2,"0000000000000"))

@Brant Thanks for your answer. Well … an EAN 13 Code should be out of 13 digits, isn't it? The article you linked mentions the necessity of the number 0 filling up to 14 digits. But this isn't working as well. Something is missing for IDAutomation in specialty and I can't find it. See Screenshot > ok - isn't loading. So here is the code:
01234567890128 >> EAN13=(A1) >> #BEZUG
1234567890128 >> EAN13=(A1) >> #BEZUG

UPC and EAN barcodes require only a specific amount of characters. Refer to the FAQ for more information about the number of characters that may be entered.
