FileMaker Server side IDAutomationNative Plug-in Question

I am running Filemaker Pro 11 on my local machine and Filemaker Server 11 on a remote Xserve. I am able to load the IDAutomationNat.fmplugin in my local Filemaker Pro installation and it works when I open a localfile.fp7. However, when I load the plug-in and the same .fp7 file into our FileMaker Server installation, and then from my local Filemaker Pro, I remotely open the .fp7 file that resides on the server now, no barcodes display. I've placed the plug-in in the following directory:

/Library/Filemaker Server/Database Server/Extensions/

And it appears that it has been loaded properly inside Filemaker Server Admin Console.

Has anyone used this plug-in in a Filemaker Server environment and it works? Thanks for any help.

Operating System: Mac OSX

Note: Since this question was resolved, IDAutomation has updated the FileMaker Native Barcode Generator products. The latest version offers easier and web-compatible methods (HTML and SVG) of generating barcodes in FileMaker Server.

When you placed the Plug-In in the Extensions folder on the FileMaker Server, did you also enable it?

If it is enabled, do you have access to the Native Functions from the Server?

Do you have access to the functions on the Server from the machine that you are using to connect to the Server?

You mention that barcodes do not appear, does anything appear or is it blank?

The Native Generator uses system fonts to generate the barcode. If the system fonts are not installed on the Server, the barcodes may not appear.

Hi,
I have the same problem on Filemaker Server 12. It´s installed on Windows 2003 Server SP2.

When I open the fmp12 file on a local machine the barcode generates correctly. After att I uploaded the file on the File Maker Server and then opened the file the barcodes are no longer generated.

I have tried two ways. Uploaded the IdAutomation.fmx on the Filemaker Server to the Extensions directory and enabled it in the console. I have also done it on the client without any luck.

Please tell me how to solve the problem. I´m still using the demo because I want it to work before I buy it.

Best regards
Sebastian
