This issue occurs because custom formatting has been applied to the field for the barcode in FileMaker. IDAutomation encoding tools return a string of characters for barcodes that must be entered into the field without any special formatting. In this case, formatting the field to "UPPERCASE" is changing the encoded string output.

Here is the string of data returned from the encoder before the barcode font is applied with "Plain Text" formatting for the field:

As you can see, the formatting for the field has changed the output from the encoder to produce an uppercase X instead of the lowercase x that is required for the correct data string, causing the first digit of the barcode to be changed.

To prevent this issue, make sure that you have formatted your field in Layout Mode by going to Format > Style > and choosing "Plain Text".

Now the barcode will display correctly with the barcode font added.
