Carriage Return in FileMaker


We are using FileMaker and the carriage return character "~" is not working. The function itself is:

IDAu_Code128c("8100712345~2112345678")

Scanning reads as a single line but I need a carriage return (<CR>) after 8100712345.

What do you advise?

Following the Functions and Combining Multiple Fields section of the FileMaker Pro Barcode Plugin Font Encoder and Tutorial, there is some needed clarification:

1. International clients should use the Universal Barcode Font (and its respective functions) to avoid the standard Code 128 Barcode Font incompatibilities that arise because of encoding regional character set incompatibilities.

2. The Code128c (IDAu_Code128c function) should not be used. Instead, use the Universal Font's Code 128 'Auto' function (IDAu_Uni_C128).

3. Once the above is implemented, use the Auto function with Apply Tilde enabled (the "|1" enables it).

4. Now that the above is implemented, it is possible to encode characters from the ASCII Table directly, using the form ~???, where ??? is the 3-digit ASCII decimal value.

5. To put it all together with the example, it would look like this (assuming the aim was to accomplish 8100712345<CR>2345678):

IDAu_Uni_C128("8100712345~0132345678"& "|1")

-OR-

IDAu_Uni_C128("8100712345~0132345678|1")

6. The general idea is to perform something like:

IDAu_Uni_C128(Field_1 & "~013" & Field_2 & "|1")
