How to get the proper bar code for AI 420 and AI 91?

Only want to create a Ship_To_Post barcode, AI 420, passing in Zip Code, 10918, for a section on a pallet label. The Free Online Linear Barcode Image Creator when given 42010918 generates the correct barcode. When using the Crystal Reports UFL functions or Crystal Native Report Generator, the bar code does not match what the Free Online Linear Barcode Image Creator produces. It has too many bars than what the Online tool shows. The same issue exists for AI 91 when using 9114026.

The issue must be coming from somewhere else, as I have replicated the issue, and my barcode shows correctly in the print preview:

Side Note:
*Please check the name of the font you are applying to the field to make sure it is a Code 128 font.

* You also might want to try a new or blank report to confirm the results above.

Here are images: image image image image

One file shows the LabelToCreate (which was created from a different system and I am trying to re-create it for a new system using Crystal Reports).
There are also files that show the differences in the barcodes (for AI 420 and AI 91) between the FreeOnLine Tool and the UFL function.

I'm actually trying to put three separate bar codes on the label in three different places.

42010981 AI (420) with zip code string of '10918'

9114026 AI (91) with store number '14026'

00107805480000001321 AI (00) SSCC-18 '1 0780548 000000132 1'

The SSCC-18 barcode works fine.

I want the other two bar codes to come out like they do when you use the Free Online Barcode Image Creator.

It sounds like you are really looking for GS1 AI (Application Identifier) information.

If the AI's 420 and 91 are fixed-length (not varying), then they can be encoded anywhere in the data. If they are variable-length, then according to GS1, they must be at the end, with separate FNC1's delineating each variable AI. This is when you would use parentheses or the Tilde Method around your AIs in our encoders (I give examples below).

GS1-128 compliant barcodes are generated in IDAutomation Code-128 products when the following are true:
* Parentheses are included around the first AI in the DataToEncode property.
* The ApplyTilde or process tilde option is enabled.
* The Code-128 encoding mode is set to Auto, which is the default in most cases.

Specific to the Crystal UFL, use the IDAutomation_Code128ApplyTilde() Function to enable Apply Tilde.

Specific to the Crystal Native, use ApplyTilde = 1 to enable Apply Tilde.

In the following examples, I use the Tilde Method for consistency, instead of parentheses.

FIXED AI EXAMPLES:

* If you want to delineate the data with the Group separator ~029:
~212001078054800000~02942001321~0299114026

* If you do not want to delineate the data with the Group separator:
~2120010780548000004200132199114026

VARIABLE AI EXAMPLE:

~212001078054800000~21342001321~2129114026
