How to make PDF417 work in XML/BI Publisher report (RTF)


We were informed to refer to the QR code installation and change accordingly for PDF417 as we don’t have clear instructions for PDF417. Refer to the link below:

We need a few inputs on the same:

1)
We need to use the IDAutomationPDF417n3.ttf present in the LegacyPDF417fonts folder of the purchased package. Please confirm.

2)
We don’t have any *.jar files provided in the purchased software package. Is it(*.jar) necessary for PDF417 font to work? If yes, please provide the *.jar files.

3)
In the purchased version, we don’t see the BarcodeUtil.java/class file. Please provide us with the file.
Above Link says to pick the file from Tim Dexter’s folder which is outside the purchased version. Might be the demo version? Please confirm on the BarcodeUtil file.

4)
Please provide us with the steps to make this PDF417 font work for XML/BI Publisher. We are trying to use the font in an RTF template (BI Publisher report).

You can use either the IDAutomation2D font or the IDAutomationPDF417n3 font. The .jar file is included in the download zip file. If you need the .class file these should be extracted from the .jar file. However, the BarcodeUtil.java/class file is provided by Oracle. Refer to the PDF417 in Oracle XML BIP Thread.
