Code 128 font-encodings element and font-aliases for Linux


Please provide the font-encodings element and font aliases in order to install the fonts on Linux. The font purchased is the Code 128 Barcode font package - IDAutomation_C128FontAdvantage.

The character encoding for Code 128 font is ASCII, the 1252 Latin-1 code page. If your Linux OS is not using the 1252 codepage as default, IDAutomation suggests the Universal Barcode Font because it supports Code 128 as well as all codepages and locales. The font names do not contain spaces so the alias is the same as the font name, for example, IDAutomationC128L. If the font contains spaces, such as with the Universal Font (IDAutomation Uni XS), the alias will be the name with the spaces removed (IDAutomationUniXS). Follow our Font Installation Procedures and also refer to the font install procedures provided by your operating system. We guarantee our fonts are created like any other fonts; however, we cannot assist in the installation of the fonts on systems other than Mac and Windows.
