Caching older DataMatrix images....

We are running DataMatrix Font Encoder 1.31 in a server setting. Two client workstations request receipts via a Crystal Report that has the DataMatrix encoder embedded. It doesn't happen often (5 times out of 8000) but every once in a while the encoder generates a previous printed record number.

Is there a different version of the encoder we should be using in a server setting(shared environment) where many clients (up to 10+) would be requesting a barcode to be generated? It has worked like a charm in a single workstation environment (millions of receipts produced w/out an issue).

Thanks

Operating System: Windows Server 2008

Application: Crystal Reports 2013

Todd,

The Data Matrix Font Encoder uses ActiveX Control to produce barcodes. If you are running multiple threads, there is an issue with the ActiveX Control where it will lose control of position and may run into barcode creation issues. This is not resolved for any release after your version. Depending on the environment you are working in, we could have other product options. If you are working directly in Crystal Reports, we have several new options in our Integration Guide.

Can you supply your order number? I can look it up to find out if you have the package that includes the font formula for Crystal Reports.
