Crystal Report font formula can use Code 128 font or need Universal font

This question is posted as there has no demonstration version for the font formula.

I tried the Crystal Report UFL, but it fails to work on 64-bit runtime and this website suggests using font formula instead.

My concern is that when I tried the Crystal Report UFL as in another question, the Code 128 font cannot be used but need to use Universal font, although the document mentioned that it should work. So I would like to ensure the Code 128 font works for the font formula instead of purchasing both fonts.

Crystal Font Formulas for Code-128 are provided in both the Code 128 and Universal Font packages. However, in the event, the system regional setting is not set to "English" and the 1252 Latin-1 codepage, we recommend using the Universal Font to overcome language incompatibilities with ASCII characters.
