Moving to Server 2012R2 from server 2008.

We have moved to Server 2012R2 from Server 2008. We run Crystal Reports XI release 2 and have the IDAutomation installed on the 2008 server and I need to move the IDAutomation to the new server. Can you please advise how I do this?

Best Answer

If you have a Developer License and up, you can move the software to a new server by installing it on the new server. This is true for barcode fonts and UFLs. If you have the Native Crystal Generator, the product remains in the report even when distributed to a new machine. It depends on the product you own.

If you no longer have the download to the product, we have the Level 2 Support Plan that allows you to download the most recent version of the product for one full year.
