When I use the program I get symbols instead of a barcode.


I installed the Excel Addin on a Windows 7 machine using Excel 2010 with power pivot. When I use the program I get symbols instead of a barcode. The program works fine with WORD 2007

After I manually selected the Bar Code Font in Excel it seems to work. I was trying to use Code 128. It works fine now.

The steps I took:

Install Font
Install IDAutomation
Type Number in cell A1, for example
Select Add-in Tab in Excel
Select cell A1
Click change to Barcode(wingdings appear)
Select Home Tab
Change Font to Match Barcode
Chan

I am not exactly sure what product you are referring to. Try restarting the system if this is a fresh install because fonts are sometimes realized in an application only after a system restart. Additionally, there is a KB about fonts showing as symbols and that could occur in Excel:

If this does not solve your issue, please describe the problem in more detail and inform us which barcode product you are using.
