Is there a faster way to generate the QR Code in Crystal Rep

I am wondering if there is a way to run the barcode generation in the background and append it to my MySQL database. I think that this would speed up the report generation. Maybe there are some other ways to improve speed.

Operating System: Windows 11 pro,

Application: Crystal Reports 2020

Generating QR codes natively within Crystal Reports for a large volume of invoices can indeed be resource-intensive, there are a couple of potential alternatives to generating the QR Codes directly in Crystal Reports. To preface, we would only recommend an experienced SQL and C# (or other language depending on the encoder) developer try this and cannot support these recommendations.

One option is to use the QR Code Font and Encoder suite to generate encoded data, store it in the database, and then in the report the encoded data would just need the 2D font applied to it in a text box object.

Another option is the .NET Barcode Generator, where you could generate the QR Code image, store it in the database, and call upon it to generate the reports. We cannot advise directly on MSSQL nor help implement this solution.

So, there might not be a way to speed up the Native Generator for Crystal Reports for the 1000's of barcodes, but with our other products, there is more flexibility offered. Let me know if you have any further questions and I hope this information has been helpful.

I should also mention that you can stream images into Crystal Reports with our Dynamic Barcode Generator Service which may be an easier implementation and should still be fast.
