Questions about Image Generator file name and modifying image type of Mac Image Generator?


1. We need the resulting UPC barcodes to be named exactly as the data file is. Can we disable the software adding a number as a prefix and not including the resolution as a suffix to the file name? Example: the files we get using the multiple barcode option are named like “15-074913079999-96DPI.bmp”, we want the name to only be “074913079999.bmp”. Is there a way to do this automatically?

2. The Mac version doesn’t appear to give us any options to change from .gif output… even if I add the image: 1bmp to the text file. Does the full (non-demo) version allow this?

The Image Generator does not allow you to modify the file name of the images. However, after the images are generated, you could use bulk renaming software to modify the file names.

As for the Mac version, it does not include the ability to modify the image type within the text file.
