Specify human readeable font in batch file

Using the Image Generator, I am exporting multiple barcodes via a batch file and everything works great.

Except for ONE THING: I would like to choose the human-readable font that appears but it is not contained in the xml file.

When exporting the generator value only the following tags are there :

<HRTextColor>-16777216</HRTextColor>
<ShowHRText>True</ShowHRText>

I'm looking for something like :

<HRTextFont>arial</HRTextFont>

Right now all human-readable text comes out as times new roman and it's a bit ugly for my application.
Exporting my UPC through the program via creates multiple barcodes crashes.
I am using image generator 2011. Anybody that can help would be welcome.

Ben	Best Answer The most recent version of the Image Generator is 2012. We did update a few features but the Save Generator Values does not have an entry for the human-readable font type. You might be able to open the GUI, set the font, close the application, and then try to process the batch file. I am not sure if you have already done this. If you update your support we can provide the latest version that was updated in 2015, however, the same issue may exist in that version. A newer version is not currently on the development schedule.

I guess I don't have the site license I purchased the IDAutomation program in 2011. Can I get the new version with my license perhaps?

We apologize that the feature is not working. We will make a note of this to add as a new feature in the next version. The only other option would be to turn off the text option and use only the barcode, or if you have a site license I can provide the source code so a developer could customize the application for you. The source is in VB.NET.

Hi Brant,

I tried this before I posted my question here and it doesn't work. My application is set to use universal 45 light (see attached picture)

Even with this setting barcodes generated by batch files have human readable font as times new roman.

Saving the values generates the xml file that doesn't contain a font face tag...

Try to change the font in the application before generation in the "Text and Color Properties" tab and then save the values.
