Best Answer

ITF14 is a standard of Interleaved 2 of 5 that requires a MOD10 Check Digit Calculation and Bearer Bars around the barcode.

OPTION 1
(1) Interleaved 2 of 5 Font Package
(2) Free Font Encoder on Windows

Encode the data in Excel for Windows using the Excel Barcode Add In or VBA solution.

Once the data is encoded as I2of5Mod10 for ITF14, save the file as a CSV (Macintosh)
image

When the file is saved as a CSV Macintosh, certain encoded characters that will not generally display on Mac will be visible such as the start character for Interleaved 2 of 5, Ë.

Install the Interleaved 2 of 5 Fonts that include Bearer Bars on Mac. This font must be manually installed.

Once the data is saved, copy or export the file to Mac (in Excel, InDesign, Quark, or any application that you are working in) and apply the IDAutomationBHI25 (XS for extra small to XL for extra large) font to the encoded data.

OPTION 2
The Barcode Image Generator for Mac

The Image Generator can load a text file that contains single-column data to generate barcode images with file names that are sequentially numbered.

Enabling the Check Digit calculation and using the Bearer Bars option will generate a valid ITF14 barcode.

OPTION 3
(1) Interleaved 2 of 5 Font Package
(2) File Maker Plug-In Font Encoder

Manually install the Interleaved 2 of 5 Fonts that include Bearer Bars on Mac.

Encode the data in FileMaker by calling the IDAu_I2of5Mod10(DataToEncode) function.

FileMaker Tutorial

Apply the IDAutomationBHI25 (XS for extra small to XL for extra large) font to the encoded data.

OPTION 4
The Java Barcode Component for Java Developers.
