PDF417 Font in Oracle using java Class - Size Issue

Hello. I downloaded the demo of the PDF417 font package to see if it would work for our new project.

We are using the Java class as the encoder, and using an RTF template to generate the font using:

<?register-barcode-vendor:'oracle.apps.xdo.template.rtf.util.barcode.BarcodeUtil'?>
<?format-barcode:BARCODE_DATA;'pdf417';'XMLPBarVendor'?>

Everything seems to work great with our tests, except for the barcode itself. We can not figure out how to get it the right size.

This is the sample data we are passing as the barcode data:

DEMO
V01~A01|D01~V5C5A9|R01~Receiver Company (30 max)|R02~|R03~|R04~123 Street Name (35 max)|R05~Address Line 2 (25 max)|R06~Burnaby|R07~V5C5A9|S01~330677993348|S02~330677993348|S03~0|S04~25|S05~0|S06~1|S07~0|S08~20160307|S09~1|S10~1|S11~10|S12~10|S13~97|S14~|S15~00|B01~200|B02~PP

But this is how the barcode comes out:

As you can see, it's quite "tall". When I go to an online emulator and put in the same data, the barcode comes out way, way shorter.

We realize that somehow the ROWS and COLS values need to be adjusted, but we simply can't quite figure out how. Everything we do results in the same tall barcode.

Could the fact that we are using the DEMO font have something to do with it?

Any ideas?

Try setting only the columns and leaving the rows at default. Start with 10 columns and then size them appropriately.
IDAutomation does not provide direct implementation support for Oracle XML/BI Publisher but has a general knowledgebase page based on articles by Tim Dexter (at Oracle).
