Linear Java Barcode Package servlet returns extra character with Code-39

I am using your Java Barcode Component:
https://www.idautomation.com/barcode-components/java/

My servlet invocation:
<img src='/BarcodeWeb/bcGen?FORMAT=GIF&X=0.03556 &CODE_TYPE=CODE39&BARCODE=<%=catName%>&BAR_HEIGHT=1.27&'/>

If I remove CODE_TYPE=CODE39, the output is what I expect. When I have the CODE_TYPE=CODE39, the output barcode image contains an extra character at the end.

The extra character that is added to the end of a barcode is called the Check Digit or check character. For symbologies that do not require a Check Digit such as Code 39 and Codabar, the check character may be disabled by setting the AddCheckDigit property to "no." If you want the Check Digit encoded in the barcode but do not want it displayed, set the AddCheckDigitToText to "no."
