When DataBar version should I use?


We are using the Java Barcode Package to generate DataBar Symbols. What is the difference between "Databar (1)" and "Databar Truncated (6)"? I found no differences.

DataBar (1) and (6) are very similar. We recommend only using the version of DataBar that is approved by GS1 for POS, which is usually DataBar Expanded (2) or DataBar Omni (5). Review the DataBar FAQ for more information about this.

Additionally, the order you referenced is from 2012. There have been several updates to the Java product since then including a DataBar update in 2017. Purchase the Level 2 Support Subscription in order to receive download access to the latest version.
