Maxicode image not correctly generated using Java Component

I’m using the Java package doing maxi code for UPS data,

Please see below segment of codes:

Maxi Code be = new Maxi Code ();

bc.setMode(2);

bc.setData(data);

then I create this barcode image, but when this image get scanned, I got following

You can see the bold italic text is extra (it looks like this repeat the zip code
and country code as well as service class), which should not be there I think.

Any comments or suggestions?

I tried to add EOT at the end, the result is the same as before, the extra data is still there when I scan the generated barcode image.

I just noticed that you are not using the EOT. Verify that you are using an EOT (End of Transmission). To generate EOT, use ~004.

For GS, use ~029.
For RS, use ~030.

Example 1:

Example 2:

char GS = (char)29;
char RS = (char)30;

the barcode image either does not show or does not show correctly by setting the zipCode, serviceClass, and country to null,
