How to reveal hidden characters from scanned PDF417

I currently use chr(4), chr(29), and chr(30) for <GS>, <RS>, <EOT> separators and not in that order. Other organizations may use Hex or Tilde as separators. I get the PDF417 through the use of IDAutomation's Java Barcode Packages from an earlier version we purchased. I use IDAbarcode_pkg.pdf417 to encode and return the blob of the PDF417 in BI Publisher. Is there a way to pass scanned text and have the text decoded to display the hidden character with <GS> like the ASCII Decoder with a similar call to idabarcode_pkg or JavaScript? Since different organizations use different separators, I can't do anything without revealing the codes. I don't know how to use Visual Basic from PLSQL. Would a more updated JavaScript have the decoder function? If you can be specific as to what we need, please.

Operating System: Solaris and Windows 10

Application: Oracle Forms with PLSQL. I use BI Publisher to display PDF417

We are not aware of a method that can reveal the hidden characters in JavaScript. We recommend using the code example from the ASCII String Decoder and trying to find similar functions in the environment you are working with. IDAutomation also offers the Barcode Decoder App, which reveals the RS, GS, and EOT functions to verify proper encoding.
