Create QR Code with different data amount at same size


I am using your software to produce QR Code barcodes. My data ranges from 12 to 24 characters. My first barcode contains 12 characters and my second barcode contains 24 characters.

How can I ensure all of my barcodes are the same size? Is it possible?

It is possible. Based on the information and screenshot, you are using the Barcode Label Software and would like to make sure all barcodes are created at the same size, even if each barcode contains a different amount of data.

To ensure all barcodes are the same size, set the Version property to a value that accommodates the largest barcode.

1. Determine the Version/Modules by scanning the largest barcode with the IDAutomation Barcode Scanner App (available for Android and iOS) or any other scanner that produces information on the barcode, such as Version and Modules. The largest barcode scans as 25x25.

2. View QR-Code.com to determine how many modules fit into a Version.

3. Select 1-10, 11-20,...
In 1-10, look at the Modules column and match it to the scanned result. In this chart, 25x25 Modules use Version 2.

4. Set the QR Code Version to 2 to produce barcodes at the same size for data up to 24 characters.

In the Label Software Pro:
- Left-click the barcode to select it.
- Right-click the barcode and select Properties.
- Select the QRCode tab.
- Select the V02 Version which is Version 2.
- Select Apply and OK.
