Resolved Questions

External Data does not print

Hi Guys,

Just on the onset I like to say that I love the Barcode Label software, so easy to use!

I downloaded a demo copy of your software to try it out before I buy but I am having one problem! Everything so far ticks all the right boxes so I hope you can help.

My problem is that I linked my labels to external Data on a CSV file, It picks up all the data and I have allocated the barcode and text fields respectively! The main problem I have is that it only prints the first label on my External Data and not the rest. I made sure I configured the "Range" and or the "All Rows from Data Source" etc but all to no avail!

Its prints the "Qty" of the labels that are on the CSV File but not the different label numbers. and I know the software picked up all of my data as I can cycle through the labels using the "Label Number" option but as said only the First Label listed on the CSV File is printing.

Also just to let you know that I am printing jewelry labels "Rats Tail Type" Not sure if I configured it right as there is no predefined setting. so I defined the settings in the Tools, Configure settings & the label in File, and Label Stock properties. I use a roll that holds 4,000 labels and the dimension of the roll is 100mm in width and length is about 1,600 inches! The "Rats Tail" labels I am using are 64mm in width x 10mm in height. My Printer is the Datamax E Class E4203

Really hope you can help.

regards

Dermot

Can you try creating a test label and using another printer? I believe that the issue may be with the print driver. You also will want to check to make sure that the print driver is up to date.

To print the quantity of numbers the data type should be set to formula and the L# and T# variables should be used. For example "This is label " & L# & " of " & T#"
