Check Printing Software produces Out of Memory Error

Running Windows 7 / 64 bit.

Purchased MICR fonts and downloaded Check Printing software. Seems to work okay until print time.

When trying to print more than a few labels at a time it gives an "out of memory" error. Real pain as I need to print 1,000 forms.

It would stop and I could tell it OK to continue.. would have to do that over and over... and it would continue printing.... but also print blanks.. missing pages.

Also, for some reason, if I attempt to print to a PDF... all I get is blank pages.

Well, since I couldn't get it to run properly on my Windows 7 Pro/64-bit machine, I decided to load it onto an old XP Pro / 32-bit machine(with far less ram) and it works... sort of.

I can now print to my printer without any memory error.. which will get me through what I need to do, but I still cannot print to a PDF without a 'bad parameter' error..... but printing to PDF is not my main concern today.

Thanks for the help and input.. seems there's just something about my 64-bit machine the software doesn't like. But at least now I can print.

I am not able to reproduce the issue. I ran a test on Windows 8 and Windows 7 with the .ida file that you sent (using incremental data). I ran a print (1000 prints each) to the printer and to PDF and did not receive any error message for either operating system. The print to the PDF displays the items on each label.

Try uninstalling the Free Check Design Software and installing it again.

I'm running 8 GB of ram and print files from other apps that are hundreds of megabytes in size...so no. I'm not 'out of memory' as the error suggests.

I've also tried running the program in 'XP compatible' mode... the same problem.

The only other info besides what I've posted above is it says"
Method: DDCanvas:drawSelf
Source: System.Drawing
Number: 7

I also tried a very simple label without any MICR characters... just simply numbering.... the same problem.

Very frustrating to purchase a product to have it not work.

Here's a screencap.

Sometimes I get 'Bad Parameter' and this:

at System.Drawing.Bitmap..ctor(Int32 width, Int32 height, Graphics g)
at IDAutomation.DDCanvas.drawSelfExtended(Graphics g, Single xOffset, Single yOffset, Boolean printing, Boolean ShowDebugInfo)

Most of the time I get "Out of memory" and this:

at System.Drawing.Graphics.CheckErrorStatus(Int32 status)
at System.Drawing.Graphics.DrawImage(Image image, Int32 x, Int32 y)
at IDAutomation.DDCanvas.drawSelfExtended(Graphics g, Single xOffset, Single yOffset, Boolean printing, Boolean ShowDebugInfo)

Can you post a screenshot of the error (if there is additional information attached to the error message)?

Verify that too many applications are not running.

Microsoft has a solution for the generic Out of Memory error
