Price formats change after linking

We are using the Barcode Label Software and are having an issue with how our numbers are being treated after we link them externally to an Excel file.

For example, $2.00 is now $2., $2.50 is now $2.5...etc. When I am in the Excel file, it looks correct.

Is there a way to fix this?

Operating System: Windows

Application: Excel

Here is a very generalized example. Note that the Barcode Label Software gets the formatting directly from Excel:

1. Create your sheet and column as you would like. A separate column for the text is suggested. In blue, you can see how the text is formatted using the Excel TEXT function (see Microsoft documentation for more specifics):

2. Save the Excel file and import it as an external data source (see the Barcode Label Software manual for general instructions).

3. Assign the imported field as the column to get data from (in red). The results will show correctly on the label (in green).

This is applicable to text and barcode* objects:

*Given the symbology can encode the data (according to the specification).

I tried what you said and it still hasn't changed it. Still getting the rounded amounts...

This is really an Excel format issue. It is generally recommended that you set the cell(s) format to Text, correct the data to the way you want it, resave the Excel file, then re-merge the data in. The Barcode label Software then will show the data as text, the way you want it.
