I need to create several barcode types in Excel and merge the barcodes into Word. What is the best way to do this?

Best Answer

1. Download and install IDAutomation Linear Font or Font Package (Demo or Licensed).

2. Download the IDAutomation VBA Font Encoder and follow the procedures for importing it into Excel.

This example illustrates Code 128 encoded data in Excel using =Code128() for VBA. When using the Add-In, the cell may appear as a barcode.

3. Save the file as an xlsm.

4. Open Microsoft Word.
NOTE: Do not use the Add-In options in Word. It is not necessary as the data is already encoded in Excel.

5. Select Mailings.

6. Select Start Mail Merge and choose Step-by-Step Mail Merge Wizard.
