Which Code 39 Font file should I use?


I purchased your Code 39 Font but see many options for font installation. Can you explain more about the fonts?

What are the Extended Code 39 Fonts?
What are the Symbol Encoded Fonts?
How do I install these fonts?

The IDAutomation Code 39 Font Package contains several different Code 39 font files including human readable fonts, extended fonts, and fonts that automatically include the space character.

The IDAutomation_C39FontAdvantage includes additional font files that must be manually installed.


• Running the IDAutomation_C39FontAdvantage.exe file installs the IDAutomationHC39 (human readable) and IDAutomationC39 (non-human readable fonts).

• Running the IDAutomation_SymbolC39FontAdvantage.exe file installs the Symbol Encoded Fonts.


• The Extended Code 39 (X) folder includes Extended Code 39 fonts with the names IDAutomationXHC39 (human-readable) IDAutomationXC39 (non-human readable). To encode Extended 39 characters: (1) encode the data (upper, lower, and special character) and (2) enable Full ASCII 39 in the scanner.

• The Fonts with Barcode Symbol in Space Character (Y)folder includes Standard Code 39 Fonts-IDAutomationYHC39 and IDAutomationYC39 and Extended Code 39 fonts-IDAutomationYHC39 and IDAutomationYC39 with the names IDAutomationYXHC39 (human-readable) IDAutomationYXC39 (non-human readable). These fonts allow the user to enter a space to encode the space symbol. It includes standard and Extended Code 39 font options.
