After migration from win 2k3 r2 to win 2012 r2, the front end is unable to print MICR fonts

I have MICR fonts installed on a Windows 2003 machine. I have used the same install.exe to install fonts on our new Windows 2012 R2 system.
We have a web application that uses these fonts to print checks from the front end.

In the source system(Win 2k3) we are able to print the test pages from Notepad as well as from the application front end with the desired font (IDAutomationMICR B)

After migration, we are able to print the test page from Notepad from the target server(Win 2012 r2) with the desired font.
But while trying to print with the application's front end, the required font is illegible and displays characters as #$%^.

Can you help us figure out if we have missed any configuration or what could be going on?

Operating System: windows 2012 R2

Application: Web application

In a support email, we recommend downloading the demo version of the MICR Fonts or updating the Level 2 Support of the MICR Fonts. Attach an image of the issue.
