Resolved Questions

Selected exporter does not support one of the features used in this report.

Hello all,

I have a report file (RPT) that utilizes IDAutomation MICR B and N1 barcode fonts. They work fine when printing a standard check; we try to export this data into a PDF document and received the following message:

"Selected exporter does not support one of the features used in this report".

-And the export fails. I am able to export it using various formats i.e. .doc, .rtf, . rpt, .csv, etc...

In troubleshooting so far, I am able to export into a PDF format if I change from IDAutomation MICR B or N1 to something like Ariel.

I have found the following KBA linked from your website: https://www.barcodefaq.com/knowledge-base/pdf-conversion/

Does anyone have experience with converting to PDF with IDAutomation MICR B or N1 fonts being involved?

Please let me know.

Thanks in advance,

Steve

IDAutomation fonts are embeddable in PDF documents.

If you are not converting directly in Crystal Reports, what utility are you using to convert the document to PDF? Is this installed on the same computer as Crystal Reports?

If the utility is on a different computer/server, verify that the fonts (IDAutomation MICR fonts) are installed. Also, some PDF applications cannot use custom fonts. If this is the issue, you may be able to take the font file and work with the vendor in making it compatible.

If you are converting directly from Crystal, what version of Crystal Reports are you running? I tested an export to PDF using Crystal XI and it did embed the font (IDAutomation MICR fonts) in the document without errors.
