2D Datamatrix barcode and the L-shaped finder pattern

When using the IDAutomation DEMO barcode generator, the L-Shaped finder pattern is on the Left and Bottom of the barcode. When I use the VB.NET reference / DLL, the L-Shaped finder pattern is on the Top and Right side of the barcode. The barcode looks fine to the eye and it does scan with at least one software based iPhone scanner but everything I read suggests the proper position is Left and Bottom. What am I doing wrong? How can I get the finder pattern on the Left and Bottom?

Operating System: Windows 10

Application: Visual Studio 2012 / .NET Framework 4.8.1

Hello Tim,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

We’ve tested both the demo and licensed versions of the VB.NET DLL, and in each case, the L-shaped finder pattern consistently appears in the bottom-left corner of the symbol, as expected. At this time, we have been unable to reproduce the issue you’re experiencing.

That said, if you have any additional documentation, sample code, screenshots, or test cases that could help us better understand the scenario, we’d be happy to review them and continue investigating.
