If only one variable length AI (aka GS1 Element String) is used and included at the end of the encoded data, a delimiter (aka Terminator or FNC1) is not necessary. However, if it is necessary to encode two variable length AIs, the ASCII 202 character Ê (hold down ALT-key and enter 0202) must be inserted as a delimiter after the data of a variable length AI that is not encoded last. For example: (01)34567890123457(10)3456789Ê(21)3456789012

This has been tested within the following products:
.NET Assembly
ASPX Script
SSRS Script
Crystal Reports Barcode Generator
Excel Barcode Generator
Access Barcode Generator
DataBar FEA (Font Encoder Application)
Linear .NET Assembly
JavaScript Font Encoder
JavaScript Native Generator
FileMaker Native Generator

A bug existed in the Barcode Server for IIS, .NET Forms Control and .NET Server Control where the ASCII 202 character would be ignored. This issue has been corrected with the 2018 release of the affected products.
