Resolved Questions

Do you have a property in the .NET Forms Control that gets the expected barcode height and width?

Right now, in order to fit the barcode into the target area I have a very hacked way of auto-scaling it. Basically, I change XDimensionMILS for the barcode and render it then examine the resulting rendering to find out how big the barcode portion is. Then I adjust XDimensionMILS up or down, render again, and examine the rendering to find the size. It’s a total hack, it’s a bit slow, and it’s not as consistent as I’d like but since the control doesn’t support autoscaling to fit the rendering area it was my only option at the time.

I’m wondering if this new property that gets the expected size would save a bunch of the effort of rendering the barcode over and over again.

The property in the .NET Forms Control is named ClientSize which gets or sets the height and width of the client area of the control.

EXAMPLE:

Get the height and width of the DM (Data Matrix Control) and place it into the textbox.
private void button1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
image
}

Produces height and width of control.
