Lot number length error - universal font encoder -GS128

When I use a 4 digit lot number field and IDAutomation_Uni_GS1_128 universal font encoder I get an error. If I use a 5 digit code that works fine.

Please try the string of:
~2020110896668002787152411053202000450105162
with IDAutomation_Uni_C128 and not IDAutomation_Uni_GS1_128.
The ~202 encodes the FNC1.

Hi Brant, the error is attached as an image, its when encoding the Data, A developer of the report put in the code so not sure exactly how it works calling an external component but uses this code if that helps identify the font encoder
IDAutomationEncoder.IDAutomation_Uni_GS1_128(data)

Error is 'A call to IDAutomation.Linear.UniversalFontEncode.IDAutomation_Uni_GS1_128 failed with this message: Index and length must refer to a location within the string. Parameter name: length.

Will try that alternate string and see if that will scan.

You mentioned you receive an error when you use a four-digit lot number for GS1-128. In order to troubleshoot the issue, we need to know exactly which font encoder you are using, what error you are receiving, and whether the error is from the font encoder or if it is from the application that is scanning the barcode. We also need to know the exact data string that is being encoded to produce the error.

If you are encoding exactly (01)10896668002787(15)241105(3202)000450(10)5162 we recommend this string instead:
~2020110896668002787152411053202000450105162
where ~202 encodes the FNC1. With this data, only 1 FNC1 is needed.
