Error 508 When Using Native for Calc


We bought the IDAutomation Native Barcode Generator for Apache OpenOffice for use in Calc (OpenOffice and LibreOffice) since they do not have the limitation Excel has, namely allowing for the formation of a true stacked 2D barcode.

We are currently creating proofs of concept with the purchased version since the non-static (non-demo) version is only available with a purchase and we are within the 30-day period (thank you for providing a money-back guarantee).

We are a bit new to Calc. We get a 508 error when we enter parameters (separated by commas, as usual).

Can you elaborate on this?

The Native Barcode Generator for OpenOffice has been discontinued.

Error 508 is the result of using commas as parameter separators in OpenOffice Calc, which uses semicolons (;) to separate function parameters.

LibreOffice seems not to have this issue, as it converts back and forth from semicolons to commas automatically.
