Capturing ACSII control characters GS,RS, EOT on web form.

Is there any way to capture the ASCII control characters GS, RS, and EOT on the web form (input type=text)? It seems the web form strip-off the un-printable characters (ACSII control characters) from the input field.

txnguyen,

On just about any web implementation ASCII control characters will be stripped off.
To work around this the apply tilde functionality can be used to insert nonprintable ASCII characters.
For example, setting Apply Tilde or Process Tilde to true and putting ~004 in the data string will encode an EOT character in the barcode.

The exact implementation can differ depending on the product.

When encoding non-printable ASCII functions such as RS, GS, and EOT, IDAutomation recommends testing the result with the Barcode Decoder App because it reveals these characters in the result to verify proper encoding.

Yes, we are using ~ + Ascii code for creating barcodes with ASCII control characters, but HTML strips out the ACSII when scanning the barcode to a text field on a web form. The problem is how to read barcodes with ACSII control characters on the web form (HTML).
