Resolved Questions

What line width/weight should I use to Vector cut a line using Barcode Label Software to send laser marker jobs?

We have been using the IDAutomation Barcode Label Software (2010 version) along with a CO2 laser marker to print barcodes onto ID plates. We recently purchased another CO2 laser marker and another license for IDAutomation Barcode Label Software (2013 version), but this new version does not want to send a line that will cut/vector with my laser marker. I have tried 0.001 and other smaller line widths.

Would you be able to make some suggestions?

It is really difficult to determine what is going on between the versions and your company's specific implementation. I would suggest simply considering the recent purchase as buying another license and using the 2010 version on the other computer as well - this is the simplest solution.

What I mean by a vector is that in the 2010 version if I create a line with a width of 0.001" then the laser marker interprets this as a cut. In the 2013 version if I send a job with a line width of 0.001" then it does not cut.

Since we do not deal with printers directly, please clarify what is meant by, This new version does not want to send a line that will cut/vector with my laser marker.

Each laser marker uses two different PCs, can I still access/install 2010 on the alternate PC?

We apologize for any inconvenience.

Since the 2013 license was purchased (and it cannot be used), if the 2010 version's download is still accessible on your system, then the other license would allow you to add another user.
