Recommended Settings for PDF417 UFL

Using the Crystal Reports PDF417 UFL and the PDF417 Font package, I am having trouble getting the barcode to scan reliably on GM's 1724a label, using the following UFL function settings:

IDAutomationPDF417EncoderPDFSet(DataToEncode,3 ,3 ,0 ,0 ,1 ,0 )

What are the recommended settings for this?

Operating System: Windows

Application: Crystal Reports

Scanability:
Scanability of a barcode is a matter of:
• The data fed in.
• The font point size.
• The printer resolution*.

Keep in mind:
• There is not an exact combination of the above that we can recommend, as it is a matter of trial and error in your team's implementation to find the right combination that gets the desired result.
• Scanners have varying capabilities and readability minimums (refer to the scanner manual for specifics).

*We do have some very general font point size recommendations for clients.

Function Properties:
In general, we recommend that clients use the respective default properties** in the function to make the most efficient barcode possible, for a given set of data.

**The updated PDF417 Barcode Font UFL formula for the Form Field can be found on the 2D UFL Formula Field Functions post, which redefines the function for ease of use and shows the recommended default properties.
