128 Fonts not appearing when using Crystal Runtime Redistributable

Reports that work within full Crystal, do not use the IDAutomation fonts when run through the Crystal Runtime Redistributable. Encoding appears to work, just the Font is missing, looks like it is using New Times Roman or similar.

We have tried it on 2 different PCs

(cr2008sp2_redistinstall)
Windows 7: ID Fonts do not appear in WindowsFonts, although they are available in Crystal

There are several ways to troubleshoot the issue:

1. Run a test print to a different printer. Do the barcodes print?

2. Reset the printer.

3. Update printer drivers.

4. Test print from another application other than Crystal.

A font is simply a font and not much more. If a font does not display, it is either because it is not installed or the printer is not functioning properly.

It will not hurt to perform a reboot.

The solution that resolved the client's issue:

In the end, upgrading the cr2008 sp2 to the latest (and totally different) version solved it.

Prints correctly from other applications (even from Crystal Reports Designer), just not from the Redistributable.

Wondered in there could be a Font registration issue.

Going directly to the Printer.
Fonts were not appearing in the WindowsFonts folder, but even after a manual install (so they do appear), print still doesn't pick them up

Doomy,

Are you printing the barcodes or using the Crystal viewer? If you see the encoded data and not the barcode, then make sure that the fonts are being embedded to view.

If you are printing to a printer, check to make sure that you have the fonts installed within your fonts directory.
