QR Code not Compatible with ZAKAT Tax and Customs Authority


Hi Team, Now we are able to generate a QR Code. But while scanning the QR Code through the applications of ZAKATA specified we are getting the error as “The QR Code is Not Compatible with ZAKAT, Tax and Customs Authority” as our requirement is to scan the generated QR Code through the KSA e-invoice applications. Attached is the QR Code and error message.

In order to encode for ZAKAT, it is necessary to encode TLV in Base64 and then encode that string in the QR Code. You can perform this in code before encoding the data in the barcode, or you can use one of the products we offer that has this encoding ability built-in such as the SSRS QR Code Generator or the Crystal Reports QR Code Generator.

For TLV in BASE64 and a complete list of supporting products, refer to the TLV in BASE64 FAQ.

Note: "IDAutomation 2D" is the correct font to use for 2D Barcodes. The issue is with how the data is formatted before encoding. The font displays the symbol but it is how the data is encoded that matters.

Hi Team,

As mentioned we have encoded data in Base64 format and generated the output of the report.

ID Automation2D Font does not support generating the required QR Code for Base64 encoded data. Below is the image snapshot for your reference.

Please let us know the exact font to be applied.
