Streaming Barcode Server for IIS .NET 8+ Major Update


IDAutomation has released an upgraded Streaming Barcode Server for IIS, re-engineered as a .NET 8+ (.NET Core) streaming API. The API exposes HTTP / IIS endpoints to dynamically generate and stream barcodes across three distinct generation modes for many purposes, including use as a font encoder using the I= query parameter.

1.
Image Streaming (Default). Generates server-side pixel-rendered payloads. Defaults to PNG output; supports 1-bit monochrome BMP via I=BMP for low-footprint legacy integrations.

2.
Font Text Payload Streaming (I=FT). Returns raw encoded text strings pre-formatted for target barcode fonts (e.g., dynamic Web Open Font Format / WOFF delivery). Offloads rendering to the client browser rasterizer to avoid image bandwidth overhead.

3.
Unicode Text-Field Streaming (I=UI). Outputs text fields constructed from specialized Unicode glyphs. This enables embedded inline rendering within native UI components or constrained environments where custom font loading and static image fetching are restricted.
