A box appearing around the barcode making it unscannable

Hi,

I am working on an application that uses the IDAutomationDataMatrix component.
The scenario is as follows:
1) The barcode sheet is created using the component in MS Word.
2) The same barcode coversheet (Word file) is stored in the database.
3) We use a web service to read that file from the database and merge it with a selected file.
4) the merged file is stored back in the database and read back by the application
5) Now this merged file contains a border around the barcode which initially was not in the original Word file. It is added after the merge.

Note:- the merged file is a pdf.

Any help as to how to remove this border will be appreciated.

Ben	Best Answer The solution from Shailesh: It was defective in the process of converting the Word document to a pdf. And the component that failed to interpret the binary data is a third-party tool. Issue not related to IDAutomation's product. Posted 10.9 year(s) ago (0) (0) Report Abuse

We are able to scan the barcode with several scanners including the Metrologic Focus, Gryphon, Honeywell 4600g, and the IDAutomation SC7. What is the scanner that you are using? I also cannot re-create a barcode that includes a border around it. Verify that it is not some feature in the application that is placing a border around the image.

Ben	To verify, what component are you using, the ActiveX Control? If so, neither the Barcode ActiveX Control nor barcode fonts (if you are using fonts) will add a border around the barcode. Can you post a screenshot or send the PDF to us? Contact Us Posted 10.9 year(s) ago (0) (0) Report Abuse
