Unable to read GS1 Data Matrix Barcode Font

I have downloaded the 2D GS1 Data Matrix demo component for trial implementation for my client (Healthcare Industry). Currently, I am using VB 6.0.

I have used the below code in my project. The variable "Printable_string" is passed to input for the merge field.

Dim DMFontEncoder As DMATRIXLib.Datamatrix
Set DMFontEncoder = New Datamatrix
DMFontEncoder.EncodingMode = E_ASCII
DMFontEncoder.ProcessTilde = True
DMFontEncoder.Font.Size = 8
DMFontEncoder.FontEncode Text1.Text, 0, 0, 1, Printable_string
Text2.Text = Printable_string
Image1.Picture = DMFontEncoder.Picture

The requirement is that the Data Matrix barcode has to be printed in MS Word and it has been implemented through MS Word mail merge functionality. That is, passing encoded text to the merge field and this merge field font is set with your font. So, the 2D barcode image appears in MS Word.

The problem is that am reading the barcode image through my mobile application and it reads the sample 2D barcode image which is available on your site. But it is not reading (MS Word and Screen) the barcode image which is generated from your demo component.

Please let me know the reason why it is not reading the 2D barcode image or if it requires any additional configuration.

Ben	Best Answer 1. Re-open the document that contains the barcode. 2. Sometimes the application will add additional line feeds to the barcode as displayed in the original barcode: 3. To resolve the issue, highlight the barcode. 4. On the Home tab, there should be an option to change the Style. It may be set to Normal. Set it to No Spacing. 5. Because the font will return to a normal readable font, re-select the IDAutomationDMatrix (or the IDAutomation2D.ttf) barcode font. 6. The barcode will be scannable.
