Can more than one Barcode CRI reside on a SSRS report?


Is it possible to add the Linear, Data Matrix, and QR Code barcode on an SSRS report? How would I edit the rssrvpolicy.config file?

Note: A new product (SSRS Native Barcode Generator) has been released since this post was resolved that offers an easier method of generating barcodes in SSRS without fonts or other components.


Reporting Services can include several CRIs on a report. If SSRS and Visual Studio run on the same Server, run the installer--it will edit the config files. If SSRS and Visual Studio do not run on the same Server, the manual installation is required.

Sample of the rssrvpolicy with multiple CRIs (Aztec and Linear CRI):
