How to re-implement the Reporting Services Barcode CRI if a user's PC was reformatted?

2019 Update: IDAutomation now offers the (SSRS Native Barcode Generator) which stays embedded in the report and runs locally without the need for a CRI.

We have been using the RS Barcode CRI for approximately a year, and it has worked great. Unfortunately, my PC needed reformatting recently, so I had to re-install Visual Studio; however, I still had the reports that used the linear barcode Reporting Services CRI. After going through the process of putting the .dll's back in the C:Program Files (x86)Microsoft Visual Studio 8Common7IDEPrivateAssemblies folder, and making the necessary config changes to my local RSReportDesigner.config file, I receive an error when I try to open the old reports. The error pertains to the Linear Barcode Component used in these reports. I also am unable to add the Linear barcode item to a new report. The error I am receiving can be seen here:

Any assistance you could provide would be greatly appreciated. image

Sometimes installing the components from the original package resolves the issue.

Thank you for your response. I have tried this, but I am still experiencing the same issue. Does it matter that I now have a 64-bit operating system, but before I had a 32-bit one? So basically, is the Reporting Services CRI supported on 64-bit machines?

If you still have the installation, then you can run it so that it properly installs all required dlls. If you need additional assistance or need to re-download the software, then you must purchase the Priority Support and Upgrade Subscription at: https://www.idautomation.com/customer-service/priority-upgrade-subscription/
