Using the CRI, I receive

I have installed your CRI manually and I receive a "the custom report item PDF417 Barcode is not installed" error. I had to manually install it because I am running Visual Studio and Reporting Services on separate Servers.

Ben	Best Answer When installing the IDAutomation Reporting Services CRI manually, placing code to make the CRI function can be a little tricky. If a line of code is in the wrong spot or something is misspelled. Please view the Manual Barcode CRI Installation section. Keep in mind that the example explains how to install the Linear Barcode CRI. So, you may see the names: IDAutomation_ReportingServices_BarcodeCRI.dll and IDAutomation_ReportingServices_Barcode.dll are being used. In fact, some of the config files that need to be edited will use these dll names. If you are installing any other barcode type such as Data Matrix, PDF417, QR Code, Maxicode, or Aztec, ensure that you are editing the config files with the appropriate names. For example, Step 2 mentions the IDAutomation_ReportingServices_BarcodeCRI.dll. If you are using PDF417, then you will be using the IDAutomation_ReportingServices_PDF417CRI.dll In another example, Step 4 explains how to edit the rsreportserver.config file. If you were using PDF417, it would be: <ReportItems> <ReportItem Name="PDF417Barcode" Type="IDAutomation.ReportingServices.PDF417BarcodeCRI,IDAutomation_ ReportingServices_PDF417CRI"/> </ReportItems> Once the file (s) have been edited and everything appears to be correct, you will need to reboot the Server. IDAutomation understands that there may be a production server running. However, you will have to decide the best time to reboot it after making these changes.
