Base64 data conversion for QR-Code Invoice in SSRS


This question is posted for anyone who needs to convert data to Base64 for QR-Code Invoicing or other purposes in SSRS when using the Barcode Generator for SSRS.

To convert text data to Base64 for QR-Code Invoicing or other purposes in SSRS:

1.
Open the custom code section of the report in Report Builder or Visual Studio.

2.
Paste the following code after the calling function and before the first "Try" section.

'' Conversion to BASE64
Dim ByteData As Byte()
ByteData = System.Text.ASCIIEncoding.ASCII.GetBytes(DataToEncode)
DataToEncode= System.Convert.ToBase64String(ByteData)

3.
After the report is saved, all data will be converted to Base64. To decode Base64 in the scanner, use the IDAutomation Data Decoder App.
