Report Definition error when opening RDL file with SSRS Report Builder


The following error is displayed when opening an RDL report file with SSRS Report Builder, and the report appears blank:
"The report definition has an invalid target namespace 'schemas.microsoft.com/sqlserver/reporting/2016/01/reportdefinition' which cannot be upgraded."
This issue applies to the SSRS Power BI Barcode Generator and the SSRS Power BI Barcode Font Encoder.

This error may occur when a report is opened with an older version of SSRS Report Builder that was created or saved with a later version of Power BI Report Builder or Report Designer. To resolve the error, open the report with the latest Power BI Report Builder Download.
