Manipulate Text Under Barcode When Using Server Control

We bought the ASP.NET Barcode Web Server Control for use with GS1 Code 128 (GS1-128) and wanted to know (because of use requirements) how do you recommend changing the text that shows to a specific format (this is an example):

· Feed in: (420)1234(92)56789
· Get back (as human-readable text under the barcode, 3 is a mod10 check digit for 56789): 1234 5678 93

In general terms, what do you suggest?

Operating System: Windows, Windows Server

Application: Visual Studio, ASP.Net

Implement the following (in C#, given that the barcode object is called LinearBarcode1, and the procedure below does not modify LinearBarcode1.DataToEncode):

· Write a mod10 function (based on the general modulo 10 calculation) that returns the proper check digit for a given input and check it against the Mod10 result from the Free Online Font Encoder.

· Through string manipulation (as a function or calculation), isolate the section (56789) after the last GS1 Application Identifier (AI) and use it as input to the above mod10 calculation.

· Through string manipulation (as a function or calculation), filter out the AIs (420) and (92), format in the spacing to the remaining numbers, and add the mod10 check digit result to the string. For this example, we will call this formatted string formattedStringResult.

· Set the ShowText property to False (the default is to show the DataToEncode value): LinearBarcode1.ShowText = FALSE;

· Assign the CaptionBelow property to the formattedStringResult variable: LinearBarcode1.CaptionBelow = formattedStringResult;
