Streaming Product Shows Blank Barcode In Crystal Reports

We have been trying out the demo streaming product to create barcodes in Crystal Reports since we have report implementations ranging from custom applications, on individual computers (running in Crystal Designer), and shared reports in our ERP (and MRP) servers.

An example URL call we are using, based on the Streaming Images into Crystal Reports tutorial:

When I try placing a Code 128, Code 39 (regular and extended/ASCII), DataMatrix, or QR Code, the place where the barcode image is supposed to show up just shows as a blank:

Is there a solution?

When streaming barcode images into Crystal Reports, it is important to render the image as a 1BMP (One Bit Per Pixel Bitmap) or JPEG image file type. This may be done by adding a I=1BMP or I=JPEG parameter to the URL call, which will solve the issue:

The above applies primarily to the following IDAutomation products (review each product's user manual for implementation-specific parameters and barcode types supported):

· Dynamic Barcode Generator Subscription (hosted by IDAutomation)
· Java Barcode Servlet (hosted by your company)
· Streaming Barcode Server for IIS (hosted by your company)

Other streaming products that render correctly without expressly specifying an image file-type parameter (review each product's user manual for implementation-specific parameters and barcode types supported):

· ASP Barcode Generator Script (hosted by your company)
· ASPX Barcode Generator Script (hosted by your company)
· PHP Barcode Generator Script (hosted by your company)
