Can the Code 39 Extended Font be Virtualized?

Can we install this product (Code 39 Extended Font) in a virtual environment? We would like to purchase this product but we need this answered. Is there any licensing issue we should be aware of?

Thanks,

Joey

Hi Joey,

You would need to go with the Site License if you plan on installing the fonts on one or more servers. The Site License will cover all of the users/installations in your environment. If you have any developers working with the fonts, you would need to purchase a sufficient developer license according to how many developers you will have involved. The 1 Developer License allows the rights of 1 Developer and up to 10,000 total users/installations. The 5 Developer License allows the rights of 2 to 5 Developers and up to 20,000 users/installations. The Unlimited Developer License is unlimited in both respects.

That is the question we have, would I need one license to cover the users or would I need 10 licenses to cover each user? We can build a specific group in the virtual environment and have these users associated with that group.

It is possible to install the font on a virtual machine, just like on a physical computer (such as Windows XP, 7, 8).

When you ask about the licensing concerns, can you be more specific:

* How many developers will be working with the fonts?

*How many computers, printers, and servers will the fonts be installed on?

*How many total users do you expect? If installed on one or more servers, how many users will be connecting to those servers to make use of the fonts for barcode generation, display, or printing?
